Where the weather decides the plan
- A day on Famara beach Strong waves and wind are characteristic here: follow local flags and qualified advice. Bring sun protection, water and a layer for wind.
- The beaches of Costa Teguise Wind is part of Las Cucharas’ appeal for many visitors. Check conditions locally and choose sheltered water only when the day’s advice supports it.
- A walk on La Graciosa Choose a shorter turnaround when heat, wind, footwear or ferry time make the full Caleta de Sebo–Montaña Amarilla circuit unwise. Carry water and sun protection.
- A day in Timanfaya Carry water and sun protection, and do not leave marked visitor areas.

Which bus goes from Lanzarote Airport to my resort?
Line 161 from T1 and T2 straight to Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, every day. Line 22 to Arrecife on working weekdays, line 23 at the weekend. Costa Teguise is the Arrecife bus plus line 3. The airport guide prints every dated departure, with the stops on the way.

Is there a direct airport bus to Costa Teguise?
No. Take line 22 (working weekdays) or 23 (weekends) from the terminal to Arrecife, then line 3 to Playa Bastián, Pueblo Marinero or Hotel Salinas; line 1 adds only a few early-morning trips. The guide shows both legs on dated boards, so you can see whether the change fits your landing time before you fly.

Can I pay the driver with a card, or do I need cash?
Either. Intercity's customer page lists a bank card at the driver's terminal, the island's transport card, or cash with the exact amount in coins or a small banknote (the operator sets the maximum). Tell the driver your destination before you pay and keep the ticket to the end.

Not by public bus: no Intercity line stops at the Montañas del Fuego entrance, and this site has no stop it can honestly point you to. Line 16 passes Mancha Blanca and the park's visitor centre; the Volcano Route itself is a booked tour, a taxi or a hire car.

Can I do La Graciosa as a day trip by bus and ferry?
Yes: line 9 from Arrecife bus station to the Órzola quay, then a ferry you book separately to Caleta de Sebo. The bus and the boat are two tickets and two timetables, so pick the line 9 back on the dated board before you choose your return sailing.

Do the buses run on Sundays and public holidays?
Yes, but not the same ones. The airport line switches from 22 to 23 at the weekend, line 20 to Famara printed no weekend trips on the dates read, and line 7 to Haría runs more often. For the 2 November 2026 holiday, Intercity published the Sunday timetable on every line (the Sunday market line 11 printed none), so the boards treat that date as a Sunday.

Which Lanzarote beaches can I reach by bus?
Most of the calm ones: Puerto del Carmen's Playa Grande, Chica, Los Pocillos and Matagorda on lines 2, 3 and 161; Costa Teguise's Las Cucharas and El Jablillo on lines 1 and 3; Playa Blanca's Flamingo and Dorada on line 30; Arrecife's El Reducto by the Intercambiador. Famara is a surf beach on line 20; the Papagayo coves are beyond the last stop.

Is Lanzarote really doable without a car?
From Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise or Arrecife, yes: the airport, Teguise, the Jardín de Cactus, Haría, Órzola and Famara are all on lines this site shows with dated times. The honest catches are Timanfaya's entrance and the Papagayo coves, and the car-free page says where a tour or a taxi is the better call.

Will I still have the bus times when my phone loses signal?
