How we check lanzarotebus.app

Who checks what against which source: Intercity for every bus fact, Turismo Lanzarote for places, dated snapshots with checksums, and how to correct us.

Your bus, at a glance

Every bus sentence on this site reconciles to Intercity Lanzarote, the island's operator: its line pages, read on dated days, and its notices. Every place sentence reconciles to Turismo Lanzarote, the Cabildo's tourism board, or to the operator of a venue, a ferry company, a council, the health service or the airport. Each block carries a checked line with the date it was read and the source it rests on, and the sources page lists them all. We are independent of Intercity and of every operator we cite, and we earn a commission only on the GetYourGuide experiences we label as such.

The practical part

The essentials

  1. Bus facts: the operator's own pages, and nothing else

Lines, stops, day patterns and the payment and luggage rules come from arrecifebus.com. We do not reconcile to travel blogs, journey planners or memory. When Intercity and Aena disagreed over the late line 162 calls at the airport, the operator's line page won, and the sentence that rests on Aena alone says so.

  2. Departure times: dated, generated, capped

Times appear only inside the generated boards, built from committed snapshots of Intercity's line pages read for a working weekday, a Saturday and a Sunday, each with a sha256 checksum in a public ledger. Nothing else on the site prints a time. Every board shows the date it was read and the date it is shown until; after that date the build fails and the pages withdraw their times until the snapshots are re-read. No time is ever corrected: where the operator's page prints a stop's time out of order, that one time is left out and the trip says so; where the arrival itself contradicts, the whole trip is withheld.

  3. Places and safety: the board, the venue, the authority

Beach, village and market facts come from Turismo Lanzarote; wine from the D.O. council's page; the flags and sea rules from the Canary health service, the Gobierno de Canarias and the Cabildo's safety consortium; ferry and museum facts from their operators; the airport stops from Aena; the climate from AEMET's own station page. Where none of them says a thing, such as the walk from a stop to a cove, a lifeguard season or tap water, the page says it does not know.

Checked Turismo Lanzarote: Lanzarote's top beaches Gobierno de Canarias: Denominación de Origen Vinos de Lanzarote Gobierno de Canarias, Servicio Canario de la Salud: Servicio Canario de la Salud: bathing areas, sea state and the meaning of the flags Cabildo de Lanzarote, Consorcio de Seguridad y Emergencias: Consorcio de Seguridad y Emergencias de Lanzarote: recommendations for enjoying the beaches safely AEMET: Climate normals 1981–2010: Lanzarote Aeropuerto (C029O)

  4. Corrections

Timetables change without notice and Intercity posts notices at any time. If a page here disagrees with what you see at the stop, the operator is right and we want to know: use the contact page, name the page and the line, and we re-read the source and fix the sentence with a new checked date.

What the dates mean

Checked on is the day we read the source, not a promise that a service was running or will run. A board's read-on and shown-until dates frame the times you see, and a holiday is mapped to the Sunday tab only when a snapshot taken for that holiday shows it, as 2 November 2026 does.

What we never print

Fares, because they change without notice; a time outside a generated board; a bus to a place whose stop or walk is unverified; a connection we have not tested; a health or safety claim without an official source behind it; a hotel or a restaurant.

And the way back.

The simplest check you can make yourself: before you rely on a last bus, look at the board's date and the operator's notices for that line. That is what we do before we publish.
