Line 161 leaves airport T1 then T2 and serves Matagorda, Hotel Jameos, Costa Mar, Hotel San Antonio and central Puerto del Carmen stops before continuing south. It cannot be used for a trip wholly inside Puerto del Carmen.

  1. Take line 161 from T1 or T2

    The operator’s stop list begins at T1 and then T2. Board the bus marked for Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.

  2. Pick a Puerto del Carmen landmark stop

    The official list includes Matagorda, Hotel Jameos, Costa Mar, Hotel San Antonio, Casino, C.C. Atlántico and C.C. Biosfera.

  3. Pay and stow luggage correctly

    Bank-card payment is allowed; tell the driver your destination before validating and use the luggage hold if available.

Do not treat 161 as local transport

Intercity’s published restriction means line 161 does not carry trips made only inside Puerto del Carmen. Use it for the airport-to-resort journey it is designed to serve.

Use the daytime southbound pattern

Aena lists line 161 from the airport to Playa Blanca from 07:30 to 21:30, approximately every 30–60 minutes. Confirm your particular departure on Intercity’s timetable.

The other half of the plan

For the airport return, line 161 also travels northbound. Do not use it for a local Puerto del Carmen hop; choose your stop from the official list and signal for it in advance.
