Get to know La Graciosa.
La Graciosa changes the pace as soon as the ferry reaches Caleta de Sebo. Sandy lanes replace asphalt, low white buildings gather around the harbour and the volcanic shapes of the Chinijo Archipelago frame the water. The village supports a rewarding day without an ambitious expedition: walk the waterfront, eat locally and choose one realistic stretch of coast. Reaching it involves two independent systems. Intercity line 9 ends in Órzola; a separately purchased passenger ferry crosses to Caleta de Sebo. Their tickets and timetables are not linked, and neither operator guarantees the connection, so the return plan comes before the beach plan.

Settle into Caleta de Sebo
The harbour village is the island's practical centre and deserves time of its own. Follow the sandy streets between simple façades, watch the waterfront activity and have lunch without assuming every memorable La Graciosa day must reach a remote beach.

Walk a measured section of the south coast
El Salado, Los Franceses and La Cocina sit along the official Caleta de Sebo–Montaña Amarilla circuit. The full published route is 12.5 kilometres and about four hours, so choose a shorter turnaround when heat, wind, footwear or ferry time make the complete circuit unwise.

Notice an island without asphalted roads
Walking, cycling and licensed local transfer services shape travel beyond the village. Confirm rental or transfer terms directly and never treat an off-road vehicle as included with the ferry. Sensitive coastal terrain rewards a light footprint and staying on established tracks.

Getting to La Graciosa
First use line 9 from Arrecife to Órzola, following the existing guide. Then board a separately booked ferry to Caleta de Sebo using the operator's confirmed check-in instructions. Compare both live timetables yourself and leave a generous margin in Órzola; a bus delay does not protect the sailing.

Let distance set the beach choice
Carry water, sun protection and suitable shoes, and turn around early. Las Conchas and other distant places require a distinct walking, bicycle or authorised-transfer plan; do not improvise them from a village-centre itinerary.

Before you settle in
Keep the way home in mind.
Before leaving Caleta de Sebo, identify the last ferry you are willing to rely on and the later line 9 departure you intend to catch in Órzola. Seasonal sailings can change and the ferry operator warns that schedules may change for operational reasons. Return with buffer; a late boat does not make the public bus wait.
