Lanzarote buses on Sundays and public holidays

Which Intercity lines keep running on Sundays and holidays, which switch or stop, and how the boards here map 12 October and 2 November 2026.

Your bus, at a glance

Buses run on Sundays and public holidays across Lanzarote, but not the same ones. Intercity prints each line's timetable one date at a time, and this site reads a working weekday, a Saturday and a Sunday for every line it covers, so every board has three tabs and the Sunday tab is the one to plan around. The airport line switches from 22 on working weekdays to 23 at the weekend; line 20 to Famara printed no weekend trips on the dates read; line 7 to Haría prints more trips at the weekend than on a weekday; and lines 60 and 62 run the same table every day. For the public holidays of 12 October and 2 November 2026, Intercity published the Sunday timetable on every line this site read for those dates, except the Sunday market line 11, which printed no trips, and the boards treat both dates as a Sunday.

The practical part

The essentials

  1. Open the Sunday tab, not the weekday one

Every board on this site has three dated tabs: a working weekday, a Saturday and a Sunday. On the holidays the boards map, 12 October and 2 November 2026, they open on the Sunday tab by themselves; on any other holiday, choose it yourself. A weekday departure that does not run on a Sunday is the commonest way to be stranded.

  2. The airport: 22 on a weekday, 23 at the weekend

Line 22 runs between the airport and Arrecife on working weekdays, and line 23 takes over at the weekend, also serving Playa Honda; line 161 runs south to Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca every day. Read the tab for the day you fly, because the weekday and Sunday boards are not the same.

  3. The lines that thin out or stop

Line 20 to Famara printed no trips at all on the Saturday and Sunday read for this site, so a weekend in Famara means line 31 from Costa Teguise. Line 9 to Órzola drops a trip each way at the weekend, and line 7 to Haría gains trips; lines 60 and 62 run the same table every day. Check the board before you choose the day.

  4. The Sunday market line 11

Line 11 runs between Costa Teguise and Teguise for the Sunday market, but on the public holidays of 12 October and 2 November 2026 it printed no trips at all. If your day out is the market, check the board first and plan a different way back.

Which holidays the boards know

The boards treat 12 October and 2 November 2026 as a Sunday, because Intercity published the Sunday timetable on every line this site read for those dates, except line 11. Line 30 was read for 2 November only. Later holidays were not checked: on one, open the Sunday tab yourself rather than trust a weekday board.

Where the three tabs come from

Intercity prints its timetables one date at a time, so this site reads a working weekday, a Saturday and a Sunday for every line it covers and shows them as three dated tabs. The boards print what the operator published on the day each page was read, and withdraw their times after the show-until date they print.

A holiday day trip, honestly

The safe Sunday outings are the lines that keep one table every day: lines 60 and 62 to Playa Blanca, line 3 through Arrecife and Costa Teguise, and line 161 to the resorts. Famara and Órzola need the weekend board checked first, because line 20 stops at the weekend and line 9 thins out. Fix the bus back before you set out.

Do the buses run on public holidays?

Is there a Sunday bus from Lanzarote Airport?

Yes: line 23 is the airport's weekend service to Arrecife, taking over from the weekday line 22, and line 161 runs south to Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca every day. The airport board prints the dated departures for the Sunday tab.

The other half of the plan

And the way back.

On a Sunday or a holiday, choose the bus back from the Sunday tab before you leave and be at the stop early. If your way home needs a change in Arrecife, check both legs' Sunday tabs, because a thin table on the second leg is your real limit.
